Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Yard Control Warehouse Associate, you manage the inbound and outbound trailer flow in the truck yard of our package center, operating yard trucks to spot trailers at dock doors and maintaining real-time accuracy in the yard management system throughout your shift.

• Yard Truck (Spotter) Operation: Operate a UPS yard truck — a specialized terminal tractor — to move loaded and empty trailers between the yard staging field and assigned dock doors, responding to dock door assignments from the sort supervisor in real time.
• Yard Board Management: Maintain complete and accurate trailer location data in UPS's yard management system, updating every trailer move immediately so that sort supervisors, linehaul drivers, and operations managers have real-time trailer visibility at all times.
